Pomeroys finish fourth at St. Louis Fall Classic

St. Louis, Mo. – The SMWC cross country team ran a strong race on Saturday, placing fourth out of seven teams at the St. Louis Fall Classic. The meet was hosted by the St. Louis College of Pharmacy at Forest Park.
SMWC and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy both scored an equal 102 team points, sharing the fourth place finish. William Woods University came in first, followed by Westminister College, and Campbellsville University.
Logan Fry was the top performer for the Pomeroys, turning in a time of 19:26 and finishing third overall in the five-kilometer race. Sarah Hudson (21:24), Erin Harnett (21:26), and Sarah Wichman (21:31) all placed in the top-25. Corianna Frederick completed the team scoring for SMWC, finishing fifth for the Pomeroys with a time of 21:57. Kelsey Wright (22:22) and Stephanie Garringer (25:07) also ran well and crossed the finish line for SMWC.
The Pomeroys conclude the regular cross country season and will now prepare for the USCAA National Cross Country Championships. They will compete on Friday, Nov. 8 in Syracuse, N.Y.
