Biography

Jovan Jeftich enters his fifth season as the assistant coach of the SMWC soccer team. 
Prior to becoming the assistant coach, Jeftich was an assistant on the men's side in 2008-09
at Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind. under head coach David Bokhart.  A Valparaiso, Ind.
native, Jeftich played four years in midfield at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind.
and earned his bachelor's degree in Communications in May 2007.  A two-time NAIA-Daktronics
All-America Scholar-Athlete (2005, 2006), he helped the Cougars to the 2003 Mid-Central Conference
Championship and a berth in the 2003 NAIA Region VII final.  He was a three-year letterwinner at
Valparaiso High School and was a standout with Northwest Indiana United FC during his youth career.

Following graduation from USF, Jeftich completed a one-year internship in the athletics department
at the University of Illinois-Chicago.  He also received his masters degree in Recreational Sports
Management from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2011. He is currently active with the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association in Terre Haute, Ind. and is a staff coach with the Valparaiso Soccer Academy conducted each June.  He previously coached boys club teams with Fort Wayne Citadel and Northwest Indiana United FC. He currently holds a USSF National "D" License

Jeftich is involved with all aspects of the program including team and individual training, match analysis,
and recruiting.
