The first inning started with senior Kelsey Rosselli leading off with her 13th double on the season.  Unfortunately the next three batters for the Pomeroys were unable to get her across to score.  The Lady Bearcats would score one of their two runs in the game with a double, moving a runner over to third base with a ground ball.  An error by the Pomeroys on the defensive end led to the Lady Bearcat run.

In the second inning, junior Carly Painter got her second home-run of the season.  This tied the ball game up at 1-1.

The third inning is when the Pomeroy bats came alive.  Freshman Rebecca Latta and Kimberly Strattman started the inning off with back-to-back walks.  Scoring the pair was junior Shelby Barnett with a three-run home-run over the left field fence.  To keep the inning alive for the Pomeroys, sophomore Shelby Turner came up to the plate and singled up the middle.  Senior Krista Rangel then moved Turner to second base by getting walked while Senior Melinda Bauer doubled to score Turner, moving Rangel to third base.  Painter then loaded the bases after she was hit by a pitch.  Senior Melana Minning then hit an RBI fly out to left to score Rangel.  This extended the Pomeroys lead 6-1.  Latta came to the plate for a second time in the inning to walk again, while Rosselli also walked to score Bauer.  The inning ended with the Pomeroys up 7-1.  The Lady Bearcats were not able to respond with any runs in the third inning.

In the fourth inning, Barnett starting things off by reaching base on a Lady Bearcat error.  She would eventually steal second base with Turner up to bat.   After Turner was hit by a pitch, Rangel hit a sacrifice bunt to move the runners up a base.  Bauer would fly out to left field with an RBI to score Barnett, pushing the lead up 8-1.

In the fifth and sixth inning, neither team came up with runs.  In the seventh inning, Latta began the inning off with a walk while Rosselli would groundout to advance Latta to second.  Strattman reached first with a walk and Barnett doubled to score Latta and move Strattman to third.  Turner then singled up the middle to score Strattman.  Bauer doubled to left center to score Barnett, leaving the Pomeroy with an 11-1 lead.  The Lady Bearcats answered back with a single to the pitcher, then another single to right center field to score the runner.  The final scored favored the Pomeroys 11-2.
