Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head softball coach Mark Feller has announced a new addition to the Pomeroy softball team. On Friday, February 28, Kerri Schrock signed a letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2014-2015 season.
“Kerri is an outstanding athlete that brings speed, power, and defense to The Woods and we are very excited to bring her into the mix for the 2014 season,” said Feller.
Schrock is currently a senior at East Noble High School in Kendallville, Ind. She has played shortstop for the Knights the past three seasons. She has also played softball with the Heartbreakers, Stealth, and True Impact travel teams.
At East Noble, Schrock has been a three-year letterwinner in softball. She helped guide the Knights to the Northeast Hoosier Conference title and won a sectional championship during her freshman year. As a sophomore, Schrock was named All-Conference Honorable Mention, All-Area Honorable Mention, and won the team’s Best Defensive Player accolade. As a junior, Schrock was named to the All-Conference First Team, All-Area First Team, and won the team’s Big Bat Award.
The multi-sport standout has also lettered in basketball all four years and lettered one year in track. Schrock will play one more softball season this spring with the Knights before she joins the Pomeroys next fall.
Kerri is the daughter of Hank and Tina Schrock.
