For the first time, the talents of Terre Haute’s collegiate literary and artistic community were on display at the Halyon Contemporary Art Gallery in downtown Terre Haute on Friday, April 29, 2011. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Indiana State University student writers and artists came together for a unique evening of literary and visual arts.

The art exhibition showcased a variety of media including paintings, photographs, sculptures and other visual arts.  In addition, each institution’s literary magazine offered imaginative short stories and poetry. Several authors engaged the audience with literary readings.

The show provided a perfect opportunity for students, faculty and staff to share their creativity and inspiration with their peers and the local community.

The art exhibit featured SMWC artists:

Bailey Deakins

Kim DisPennett

Tracey Dykstra

Heather Ennis

Angie Hudgens

Amber Slaughterbeck
