Homecoming 2013: Made in The Woods
September 10th, 2013 | SMWC
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College warmly welcomes its alums back home on September 21, 2013, for Homecoming 2013.
This year’s theme, “Made in The Woods”, celebrates all that happens at The Woods – ongoing learning, life-long friendships and cherished memories. There will be many exciting activities throughout the weekend for the whole family.
While some traditions will remain the same, new ways to celebrate have been added. Traditional activities include academic open houses, soccer (vs. Marygrove College), softball (vs. Lincoln Trail), field games, Kid’s Zone, bats and rats tours with the Sisters of Providence, and the beer and brats tent. The latest activities include hunt seat and western equestrian demonstrations, chorale and madrigal concert, and the National Alumnae Board meeting.
“This is always a special time for the campus community,” explained Chanel Reeder, director of alumnae/i affairs. “I encourage all of our alums to take some time to reconnect with friends, classmates and share all that they love about The Woods.”
