Price signs letter of intent

It is with great pleasure that Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College welcomes Kayla Price, the newest addition to the Pomeroys’ softball team. Kayla is an experienced athlete with both an impressively accurate pitching arm, and the most refreshing attribute of all: pure passion for the game. A graduate of Terre Haute South High School and Lincoln Trail Junior College in Robinson, Illinois, she is also an accomplished student.
The Pomeroys’ softball coach, Gary Rodgers, believes that Kayla has the potential to be a powerful force on the team: “I look for Kayla to make an impact on our team as a pitcher who has good movement on her pitches, and can hit her spots for good location.” In addition to her position as a pitcher, Kayla will also spend time as a utility player. This wearing of many hats, and doing so effectively, will prove her to be a cherished asset to the team.
Kayla is the daughter of proud parents, Robert and Angie Price, of Terre Haute. She joins her former Terre Haute South High School teammates, Macy Toon and Rebecca Latta, who have also recently signed letters of intent to play softball at The Woods.
