Summer Camps at The Woods

Learn leadership skills, make new friends, discover new interests and build self-esteem – those are the goals that the summer camps at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) have for children. SMWC offers a range of day and overnight camps, for boys and girls grades K-12, designed to educate and inspire youth in a variety of academic and extracurricular activities.
This year’s camps will take place the week of June 23 at The Woods. Camp sessions include art, equine, leadership, photography, environmental science, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Children will experience hands-on learning and summer fun in these exciting camps:
TWIST – STEMsational Camp (Powered by Duke Energy Foundation) - Day camp for girls entering grades 6-9
The Oakley Academy - An overnight environment science camp for girls entering grades 6-9
Camp CEO (In partnership with Girl Scouts of Central Indiana) - An overnight camp for girl scouts entering grades 6-8
Art at The Woods - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades 1-3
Equestrian Camp for Beginners - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades 2-9
Photography: Working with Light - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades 3-6
Making Change: Leadership and Community Service - Day camp for girls entering grades 9-12
Parade of Engineers - Day camp for girls entering grades 1-3
Art at The Woods - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades 3-6
Equestrian Camp for Advanced Riders - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades K-12
Photography: Working with Light - Day camp for girls and boys entering grades 1-3
Each camp is designed and led by SMWC faculty and staff. All camps begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Before- and after-camp care, lunch and snacks are provided. Enrollment for each camp is limited. Register today at www.smwc.edu/camp2014.
