News | 09.24.2010

The Pomeroy Cross Country team is off to a great start this year. On September 17th, the Pomeroys competed against 35 college division teams in the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational. Ranked 20 going into the meet, using some great mental toughness and physical strength, the Pomeroys finished 17th in the college division.

Casandra Barnett, Danika Espinoza, Leiona Noah, Lyndsi Woolems, and Stephanie Runyon ran strong races, improving their times from their first race at LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course on September 10th. Helping the Pomeroys in the lower point score and running past some major packs within the middle of the race were Logan Fry and Katherine Williams.

On Saturday, September 25th, the Pomeroys will face competition from Division II and Division II teams in Westerville, Ohio in the Otterbein Cross Country Invitational.
