The Black-Jew Dialogues - A Multicultural Comedy

A two-actor play exploring the absurdity of prejudice and racism and the power of diversity, comes to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) 7 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, in the Woods Student Center. Presented by the SMWC Student Activities Committee, as a part of the College’s Black History Month celebration, the event is free and open to the public.

“The Black-Jew Dialogues” combines fast-paced sketches, improvisations, multi-media, puppets and a game show.  The goal of Black-Jew Dialogues is to promote open, honest, and respectful conversation about our differences and move audiences to action. A post-show discussion between the actors and the audience will conclude the evening.

“Conversations can be difficult,” said Maggie Rhodes, associate director of campus life. “We are very proud of our students for selecting this performance to bring awareness to how ideas and biases play out in people’s lives.”
