Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Scholarship
The Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Scholarship is the College’s highest award for academic excellence. The scholarship is named for Saint Guerin, who founded Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 1840. She was a woman ahead of her time--an entrepreneurial leader who was dedicated to serving all people, regardless of race, religion or background and who was passionate about educating women and preparing them to become leaders.
Deadline to apply for the Saint Mother Theodore Guerin scholarship is December 31, 2016. The College will award two Full Tuition scholarships and five $18,000 awards. These are renewable for a total of four years. Each winner will also receive a laptop or iPad.
Applications will be reviewed by the Admission Team. Invitations will be sent in January for those selected to compete.

A letter of recommendation from a community leader or academic mentor should be sent separately by December 31st. Choose an individual who will speak to your leadership abilities and commitment to service. Letters should be sent to the Office of Admission at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Finalists will be invited to interview on campus the weekend of January 28, 2017.
Write a 2-3 page type-written essay on the following topic: Saint Mother Theodore Guerin was an entrepreneurial leader who was dedicated to serving all people, regardless of age, religion or background; she was passionate about educating women and preparing them to become leaders. In your lifetime, how do you intend to use your gifts and talents to positively impact the world in which you live? Please note: This essay is different from your college application essay.
