Composite photos are head shot photos of you in your commencement garb. More importantly, these are the photos that are grouped together by graduating class that hang in the hallways of Guerin. If you miss the opportunity to have it taken, you cannot be included in the group composites at a later time.
Professional pictures will be taken of each graduate as they cross the stage. The photo company will contact you directly regarding any purchases you may want to make. A group picture will be taken directly following Commencement.
Baccalaureate will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10:30 a.m. The doors will open at 10 a.m.
All guests sitting in Cecilian Auditorium will be required to have a ticket before entering. Guests sitting in the Dining Hall viewing Commencement via the live-feed will not be required to have a ticket. The number of tickets each graduate receives will be communicated to the graduates once that number is known.
Both locations will open their doors at 1:15 p.m. Entrance to the Conservatory will be through the front doors with the exception of those guests with special needs. Special needs guests should come to the north door (the one with the handicap ramp) by 1 p.m. for early admittance. After the doors open at 1:15, it is very difficult to seat guests with wheel chairs; therefore, it is very important that they arrive early. Companions sitting with them will be allowed to enter at the same time.
Note: Strollers and beverages are not allowed in the auditorium.
Graduates will line-up for the Commencement ceremony at 1:30 p.m. outside between Guerin Hall and the Conservatory. If it is raining, you will meet in the Conservatory to line-up.
Each student participating in Commencement will need to wear Commencement garb (gown, cap, hood) for Commencement. You do not need to purchase these items; the College has a supply and will loan them to you. Graduate students have the option to purchase their Academic hood. Current price is $50. Please contact Graduate Studies (812) 535-5206 to place your order. Each student will also receive a tassel which is theirs to keep. Following Commencement, all borrowed items are to be returned to the rotunda in Guerin Hall.
- Dark Shoes (Please wear dress shoes that are comfortable for walking.)
- Dress or Dress Pants. Pants should be dark-colored (Black, Navy, or Charcoal)
- Flowers and Jewelry will not be permitted on the graduation robe.
Special needs would include those guests who are in wheel chairs, use crutches and/or walkers, or are hearing impaired, etc. Please be sure to indicate if you have special needs guests on the participation form. If you have already submitted your form, email information about your special needs guests to email@example.com.
Your student email account will remain active for six months following the date you graduate. Basically, it will follow the schedule below:
