Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center

The Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center is a hub of activity on campus. Stay active at the fitness center, participate in health and wellness activities or show your competitive side with intermural sports.

The Center boasts a collegiate regulation-sized gym, an auxiliary gym, locker rooms, a training room and a 3,776 square foot fitness center fitness room with full internet and cable access on various cardio machines.

The home court for the Pomeroy basketball team is Hamiliton Arena. The collegiate regulation-sized arena can seat 1,000 spectators and is located just off of Ariens Atrium. The floor from the center court of the "Old Gym" also has a new home on the wall of Hamilton Arena.

Connelly Court will be used as a practice space for Pomeroy athletics as well as the home for the intramural sports and wellness activities.

Flex Space

This flexible 3,600 square foot space is located within the Ariens Atrium. It houses a large concession area with sink, counterspace and food-prep area as well as four large flat panel TVs. There is plenty of natural light and views from the arched windows that surround the space as well.

Club '64

Club '64

The fitness center donated by and named after the SMWC Class of 1964 contains advanced fitness equipment, including stair climbers, Jacob's Ladders, five ellipticals, eight treadmills, six exercise bikes, numerous free weights and weight stations. The club is currently available to students, staff and faculty of the College.
