The interplay of nature and the human body inform my art. As I engage with the imaginal world, tree limbs appear as winding arms and legs; form fuses with the outer and inner world terrains in a continual flow of imagery. Negative space offers continual guidance; shadows lead to my own shadow side; my dreams offer infinite paths around and through my psyche.

For me, the natural world is the numinous, transpersonal realm between body and spirit.  Life and death transitions are reflected in my process:  I let the art lead, creating, destroying and re-creating, waiting for the arrival of an image that provides deeper knowing. Whether using found wood, cast bronze branches, oil, paper, watercolor or some combination, I allow the materials to call.

My hope is that my visual expression of these universal mysteries and cycles inspire viewers to dive more deeply within, awakening their own inner wisdom to the knowledge that we are growing, living and dying with every moment.

Loved the "shelter in place" and your theme of nature and body.
