Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will be hosting Family Weekend April 20 through 23. Family Weekend offers each student’s family the opportunity to visit students and see their personal and academic growth. Families can meet other students, their families and faculty and staff members of the College.
The weekend will consist of several activities, including concerts, student poster shows and a student achievement banquet on Saturday night that recognizes their academic and leadership achievements. Student clubs and organizations will also host events throughout the weekend, including a color run, bingo and more.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday with the annual Dr. Theresa L. Gioannini Student Poster Show in Le Fer Hall, followed by the SMWC Band Concert at 7 p.m. in the Cecilian Auditorium in the Conservatory of Music. The concert “Around the World with the SMWC Concert Band” will be presented under the direction of Dr. John McIntyre. The band concert is free and open to the public.
On Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the SMWC Choirs will perform their spring concert. The concert will include the SMWC combined choirs, including Chorale, Madrigals and Woods Vocal Ensemble. The choir concert is also free and open to the public.
