Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) has once again been recognized among the top institutions in “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report. SMWC ranked in the top 21% of Best Regional Universities in the Midwest. The 2024 rankings were released early Monday morning. The rankings are based on academic quality and the amount of financial aid with grants and scholarships to full-time undergraduate students.

SMWC was also ranked number three in Best Value Schools for Regional Universities in the Midwest and was the top-ranked school in Indiana in this category. The ranking accounts for academic quality and the net cost of attendance for students receiving the average level of need-based financial aid.
The College was ranked fifth in Social Mobility Among Regional Universities in the Midwest and was the top-ranked Indiana school in the category. This ranking is based on how successfully schools work with Federal Pell Grant-eligible students.
The College celebrated another record-breaking incoming class in August and established another all-time record-breaking campus enrollment for fall 2024.
