As a certified educator, you can make a meaningful impact on young lives. Our elementary education online degree programs prepare you to teach grades from kindergarten through Grade 12, depending on your program of focus. Mild intervention is also a dual licensure program option at SMWC. With coursework designed to equip you with skills and knowledge in growth and development, educational psychology and methods of teaching, you will be fully prepared to guide students to success.
Our education programs are approved by the Indiana Department of Education and meets all REPA 3 (Rules of Educator Preparation and Accreditation) regulations and the learning outcomes are aligned with the 2013 InTASC standards and cover the following domains: learner and learning, content knowledge, instructional practice and professional responsibility. Your experience will be enriched by a variety of extracurricular activities and/or professional development experiences including several clinical/field experiences culminating in student teaching the last semester of your senior year. Our faculty work hard to make online degrees personalized, as well as ensuring technology efficiency to eliminate barriers while educating students.
With multiple online start dates in January, March, August and October, you can start your degree whenever you’re ready.
