Complete Your Ph.D. in Under Four Years
You can earn your Ph.D. in just three and a half years with our 60-credit-hour program. With plenty of options for residencies and our immersive online experience, our program is flexible enough to fit your busy schedule.
Complete in less than three years for those on the Business Administration concentration pathway and less than four years for those on the Organizational Behavior and Change concentration pathway.
You can earn your Ph.D. in three to four years with our 42 OR 60-credit-hour programs. With plenty of options for program engagement and our immersive online experience, our program is flexible enough to fit your busy schedule.

Your Individual Faculty Mentor
Every student in the program has an individual faculty mentor that will help you overcome personal and academic challenges as you complete the program. Your mentor will be with you all the way through your dissertation, ensuring that you can be successful in earning your Ph.D.
More Than a Cohort — a Community
Online means being connected. You will have the opportunity to stay in touch with your peers in the program by building a Ph.D. community of practice. This allows you to get to know students in other cohorts and connect with faculty across the program.
Immersive Virtual Format
Engage with a global cohort of students through our unique online learning environment. Our online platform will allow you to work with members of your cohort on group projects, access expert faculty, attend virtual webinars, and explore a dynamic database of student and faculty profiles that will help you connect with others in the program.
Program Engagement Opportunities
We want to encourage your sense of belonging at SMWC. Choose program engagement opportunities throughout each year, such as studying abroad, attending a conference, faculty-student research, and/or participating in the annual on-campus doctoral program event.
Student Professional Development Funds Available
Every student has a professional development fund of $2,500 available that can be used to cover the costs of traveling to conferences and faculty-led study abroad trips. It’s all included.
Learn your CliftonStrengths
Each student will take the CliftonStrengths online talent assessment that can help you identify your strengths as a leader and find other students and faculty that have complementary strengths. This tool is included at no extra cost with your tuition and is shared in our immersive learning environment.
No GRE or GMAT Required
There’s no need to take a GRE or GMAT test to start earning your Ph.D. Even if you have been out of college for a while, we will help you stay on track with personal support from a dedicated academic faculty mentor throughout the program.
