The Wabash Valley Leadership Institute at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College invites professionals interested in developing leadership skills to join its ninth cohort. In partnership with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, this collaborative effort engages and energizes leadership efforts in the Wabash Valley. The Wabash Valley Leadership Institute sessions will run Feb. 4-8.
With the support of community organizations and sponsors, the Wabash Valley Leadership Institute focuses on leadership skills with the intended effects of personal growth in leadership, organizational behavioral skills and potential community growth in a leadership capacity. Sponsors include Duke Energy, Indiana State University, Ivy Tech Community College, RJL Solutions, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Sodexo, Tribune-Star and Vectren.
This year’s keynote speakers are Karen Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk, co-founders of Two Chicks and a Hammer, Inc. and the mother/daughter stars of the hit HGTV show “Good Bones.” They will share extensive insight on leadership and entrepreneurism. In their fourth season, the duo focuses on renovating and transforming homes in Indianapolis, specifically in Fountain Square, Bates-Hendricks and surrounding areas.
