The Woods Global Music Appreciation - Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College

In May 2019, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Madrigals participated in the Mayo International Choral Festival in County Mayo, Ireland. This video/slideshow was created by alum (and current MAMT student) Sara Langenberger. The slideshow is a chronological record of their time traveling to and visiting/singing in County Mayo. The recording is their final performance of the winning two songs.

The following is a playlist of 7 videos that comprise a larger work called ‘Magnificat’ by Norwegian composer Kim Andre Arnesen. Performed by the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Madrigals, and recorded live in concert on April 24, 2016, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. This recording gained national recognition from The American Prize for Choral Performance in the College/University division in 2018-19, with the Madrigals being recognized as finalists for that award.
