Reunion 2012 filled the campus with energy and enthusiasm. Over 200 SMWC alumnae and guests returned to campus to reunite with their classmates for a time of reconnecting and reminiscing. Those celebrating their reunions ranged from the classes of 1947 through 2007.
Weekend activities included an art exhibit by Marti Rumely Kuehn ‘69, class agents’ and class secretaries’ pep rallies, campus tours, college updates, the annual alumnae association meeting and mass. The weather favored the weekend – perfect for campus tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and groups of runners around campus.
The weekend culminated at the annual Reunion Banquet where class gifts were announced and alumnae awards presented. The Frances Murphy Rumely Award was presented to Kathleen Wentland Lubeznik ’80, chair of the SMWC Board of Trustees for her outstanding dedication and leadership to civic and educational organizations. The Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Award was presented to Gertrude Knecht Mazzarella ’57 for demonstrating leadership, purpose, devotion and community vitality as exhibited by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.
