Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College alums, family and friends are invited to a special opportunity to embody the spirit of service that The Woods has instilled in each of us. Overdose Lifeline, a statewide Indiana non-profit, is partnering with SMWC alums like you to combat the addiction crisis and make a real difference in our communities. Founded in memory of a son lost to a heroin overdose, Overdose Lifeline carries the message of hope to those struggling with addiction and their families. Their mission aligns perfectly with Saint Mother Theodore Guerin’s dedication to serving those in need and fostering a more compassionate world.
On Tuesday, March 18, Overdose Lifeline is hosting a volunteer activity to assemble life-saving overdose reversal kits. These kits will be distributed across Indiana, offering a crucial second chance to individuals experiencing an overdose. Your participation in this event is a remarkable opportunity to:
- Contribute directly to saving lives
- Connect with fellow SMWC alums in a meaningful way
- Fulfill the College’s mission of service by tackling a critical community issue
Here’s how you can join the fight! Volunteer at our Overdose Reversal Kit Packing Event! This is a perfect SMWC Celebrating Service activity to come together as a community and make a lasting impact.
