The clinic that provides Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College students and the surrounding community with medical care has a new family nurse practitioner.
Erin Morgan, FNP-C said it has been a pleasure to work at the Health Services Clinic, a Union Health facility located in SMWC’s Rooney Library. This clinic offers urgent care services for SMWC faculty, staff, students and the surrounding community who might not have other means of care nearby.
“We do not replace the crucial role of a primary care provider, but we can assist you with any acute needs that you may have in the interim,” Morgan said. She added that those who cannot travel to the clinic can also arrange telemedicine services as well.
Morgan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Indiana State University. She is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
The Health Services Clinic offers COVID testing, laboratory draws and some screening tests along with referrals to primary care providers. It also offers immunizations, flu shots, prepackaged prescription medicines and over-the-counter medicines.
“We hope to provide a positive space for the community to receive compassionate medicate at a convenient location,” Morgan said.
Morgan is a mother of two young boys and has been married for 10 years. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, going shopping and traveling.
Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling 812-535-5200. The clinic offers hours Monday through Thursday. It is open Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours for Tuesday and Thursday are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
