Family Weekend for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) will start Thursday, April 10, with events planned through the weekend, ending on Sunday, April 13. This tradition offers families of students the opportunity to see the personal and academic growth, meet other students and their families and interact with faculty and staff.
The weekend will consist of several activities, including a student poster show and a student achievement ceremony on Saturday night that recognizes their academic and leadership achievements.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday with the annual Dr. Theresa L. Gioannini Student Symposium and Poster Show in Le Fer Hall.
During the weekend, students will also be honored during the Student Achievement Ceremony, which students and their families may attend. The ceremony will take place in O’Shaughnessy Hall.
Softball will host doubleheader games on Friday, and Saturday will be Senior Day. Men’s volleyball will also host matches both days in the Hamilton Arena in the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center starting at 7 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.
On Sunday, a cookout will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ariens Atrium in the Knoerle Center.
