Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) held its annual Theresa L. Gioannini Student Symposium and Poster Show on the evening of Thursday, April 10, to kick off the 2025 Family Weekend festivities.
Family, friends and members of the College gathered in the lobby of Le Fer Hall as 40 students presented their research and work that they have completed over the course of the academic year. Their research and findings ranged in different areas of studies including Equine Studies, Nursing, Sciences and Mathematics and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

The event is in memory of SMWC graduate Theresa L. Gioannini ’71, PhD., who received her degree in chemistry from The Woods and has created several contributions to the field of science.
