SMWC hosts successful family weekend

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) has hosted its annual Family Weekend for several years. The weekend presents an opportunity for students’ families to see the personal and academic growth students experience on campus daily. The chance to meet with other students and their families and interact with faculty and staff to look at the rich diversity of experiences and perspectives that influence students’ social and intellectual transformation.

Aimee Janssen-Robinson, Ph.D., associate vice president for student affairs, shared, “Family Weekend is always one of the highlights of the academic year for the students, faculty and staff. From concerts to banquets, a poster show, a color run and Earth Day activities, there is something for everyone on campus during the weekend.” Several events took place, including the SMWC band concert, International Ring Ceremony, the Choral Concert, as well as several other events hosted by student clubs and organizations.

Along with the activities on Saturday, the Student Achievement Banquet was held. Students and their families, faculty and staff gathered to honor students’ leadership and academic achievements throughout the year. The following students were honored during the banquet:
