Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) was listed in the 2023-2024 U.S. News Best Graduate Schools for its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in the just-released U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings.
Janet Clark, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs, said of the ranking, “It is gratifying to see this national recognition. Our experienced faculty work hard to provide exceptional instruction to our students.”
The MSN program began in 2018 with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) concentration. Marcia Miller, Ph.D., RN, dean of the Division of Nursing and Sciences, is proud of how well the MSN/FNP program has done. “We are incredibly proud of the program’s success and our students. The demand for nurse practitioners is high, and our graduates are performing well after graduation.”
Students have the option to attend classes in person, live online, or can view the recording of the class online. This flexibility of the program allows students to work toward advancing their careers while still meeting their family and professional responsibilities.
“It is an honor to work alongside accomplished faculty to provide high-quality instruction to our students,” said Crystal White, DNP, FNP-C, RN and director of the FNP program. “Our emphasis on student-centered education that offers scheduling flexibility and individual attention provides our graduates with the necessary experience, skills and knowledge for a successful career as a family nurse practitioner.”
The MSN program is accepting applications for Fall 2023 admission.
