Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will host Homecoming on Oct. 2, the first in-person Homecoming get together since 2019. Athletic events and a presidential welcome are just a few of the events to look forward to.
Homecoming is the perfect time to return to The Woods to reconnect with family and friends. Alumni can relive the past while making new memories for years to come, says Sarah Stultz Mahady ’05, director of alumni relations.
“After a year without an in-person Homecoming, we are blessed to safely celebrate with friends and family. While following protocols, Woods alumni, students and the community can enjoy good food, amazing company and plenty of fun.”
A beer and barbecue tent and free kids zone provides activities for all ages, along with the plethora of athletic events. This includes an equestrian show, women’s soccer, women’s softball, women’s volleyball and men’s soccer.
Other activities include a Choir and Band Alumni Concert at the Butler Classroom, caricatures and wagon rides.
“Stories from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Historic District” will also be taking place throughout Homecoming weekend at the Swope Art Museum in downtown Terre Haute.
The Homecoming site is being updated regularly. Check back for updates to events and schedule.
