Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has planned to host two commencement ceremonies featuring two student speakers. They will occur on Saturday, May 13, in the Hamilton Arena in Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center.
Campus students will be honored during the first ceremony at 10 a.m., and online and graduate students will be honored in the second ceremony at 3 p.m. The baccalaureate service will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 1 p.m. Both commencement ceremonies will be live-streamed.
Students Sydney McCammon of Sullivan, Indiana and Rebecca Weimer of Nashville, Tennessee, will address their classmates as the student commencement speakers. McCammon will speak during the campus ceremony, and Weimer will speak during the online and graduate ceremony.
“Commencement is a momentous occasion. We’re looking forward to honoring students and all they’ve accomplished during their time at The Woods,” said Janet Clark, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs.
